Welcome to Sunday Departures. These Terms & Conditions apply when you purchase our itinerary planning services or use our website. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. About Sunday Departures
Sunday Departures provides personalised travel itinerary planning services. We research and curate recommendations, suggested schedules and travel inspiration based on the information and preferences you provide.Sunday Departures is an itinerary planning service only. We are not a travel agency, tour operator or booking agent.
2. Our ServiceYour itinerary is created using the information you provide through your travel questionnaire and any additional correspondence with us.Depending on your chosen service, recommendations may include: attractions and experiences; restaurants, cafés and bars; accommodation suggestions; neighbourhoods and hidden gems; transport suggestions; suggested daily routes and timings; practical travel tips; and an interactive Google Map containing selected recommendations. The exact content provided will depend on the package purchased.Sunday Departures does not make reservations, bookings or purchases on your behalf. You are responsible for making and paying for all bookings directly with the relevant third-party provider.
3. Providing Your Travel Information
You are responsible for providing complete and accurate information through your questionnaire.Our recommendations are based on the preferences, dates, budget, requirements and other information you provide. We cannot be responsible for recommendations that become unsuitable because information provided to us was incomplete, inaccurate or subsequently changed.Please notify us as soon as possible if your travel plans change while your itinerary is being created.
4. Client Responsibilities
You are responsible for:checking booking details before confirming any reservation; ensuring that you hold valid passports, visas and other required travel documentation; checking current entry and immigration requirements; obtaining appropriate travel insurance; checking relevant health, vaccination and safety requirements; checking cancellation and amendment policies before making third-party bookings; confirming prices, opening hours and availability directly with third-party providers; and deciding whether a recommendation is suitable for you and your travelling party.
5. Pricing & Payment
The price applicable to your chosen itinerary service will be displayed at the time of purchase.Payment must be made in full before itinerary planning begins unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payments are processed securely through our chosen payment provider. Sunday Departures does not directly store your full payment card details.
6. When We Begin Your Itinerary
We will begin creating your itinerary once payment has been received and you have submitted your completed travel questionnaire.If you ask us to begin providing the service during any applicable statutory cancellation period, your cancellation rights may be affected in accordance with applicable consumer law.Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
7. Delivery
Once we have received your completed questionnaire, we'll get to work bringing your trip to life.Your completed personalised itinerary will be delivered to the email address you provide as a downloadable PDF, together with any other materials included within your chosen package.The expected delivery timeframe will be communicated at the time of purchase or before we begin work.We will make every reasonable effort to meet the stated timeframe. Occasionally, delivery may be affected by the complexity of a trip, incomplete information or circumstances outside our reasonable control. If this happens, we will let you know as soon as reasonably possible.
8. Revisions
Your itinerary includes one reasonable round of amendments.Any amendment requests must be submitted within 72 hours of receiving your itinerary.This is intended to allow you to flag recommendations that do not feel right for you, places you have already visited, or similar reasonable changes.Requests submitted after the 72-hour period, additional rounds of amendments or substantial changes to your original travel brief may be subject to an additional fee. A request that substantially changes the destination, dates, duration, budget or overall nature of the original trip may be treated as a new itinerary rather than an amendment.
9. Cancellations & Refunds
Every Sunday Departures itinerary involves individual research and planning based on your requirements.Your cancellation and refund rights depend on when you cancel, whether work has begun and any rights available to you under applicable consumer law.Where you have asked us to begin providing the service during a statutory cancellation period and subsequently exercise a valid right to cancel, you may be required to pay for the proportion of the service already provided where permitted by law.Once the service has been fully performed, your statutory right to cancel may be lost where the requirements of applicable consumer law have been satisfied.Please see our Refund Policy for further information.Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation or other right you are legally entitled to.
10. Recommendations & Accuracy
We carefully research recommendations and make reasonable efforts to ensure that information is accurate and current when your itinerary is created.However, travel information can change quickly.Prices, menus, opening hours, availability, transport schedules, entry requirements, events and local conditions may change after your itinerary has been delivered.Restaurants, accommodation providers, attractions, transport operators and other businesses recommended within an itinerary operate independently of Sunday Departures.We therefore cannot guarantee the availability, price, quality or continued operation of any third-party recommendation.You should verify important information directly with the relevant provider before travelling or making a booking.
11. Third-Party Bookings & Services
Any contract you enter into with an airline, hotel, restaurant, attraction, transport provider or other third party is between you and that provider. Their own terms, cancellation policies and conditions will apply.Sunday Departures is not responsible for the acts, omissions, cancellations, changes or service standards of independent third-party providers.
12. Travel Disruptions
Travel can be affected by circumstances beyond our control, including weather, strikes, transport disruption, closures, political events, natural events and changes to local rules.We cannot guarantee that an itinerary will remain possible exactly as originally planned where circumstances change after it has been created.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sunday Departures is not responsible for losses arising from circumstances outside our reasonable control or from the acts or omissions of independent third-party providers.Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including any rights or remedies available to consumers under applicable law.
14. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, itineraries, guides, written content, layouts and other original materials created by Sunday Departures remain our intellectual property. Your itinerary is provided for your personal, non-commercial use. You may share your itinerary with members of your travelling party, but it may not be reproduced, published, resold, commercially distributed or used to create competing products or services without our prior written permission.
15. Personal Information
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.Please only provide information that is relevant to helping us plan your trip.
16. Website & External Links
Our website and itineraries may contain links to third-party websites, maps or booking platforms.These websites are operated independently and we are not responsible for their content, availability, security or privacy practices.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, business practices or legal obligations.The Terms applicable to your purchase will be those provided or made available to you when you place your order.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or another jurisdiction, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections applicable where you live.
